The idea was born from the meeting between Binetou, Célia, Rhoda and Chris. Four young Black French-speaking people from diverse culture background. The goal was to create a platform of expression where discussing culture, politics and society with an incisive, spicy and irreverent tone could have a cathartic effect.
MounWoke (2017) sur RAK
The name of the podcast Mounwoke is a pun that combines the word "MOUN" meaning people/people in Martinican Creole and the word "WOKE" describing in English a individual who is politically and socio-culturally "awakened" on their conditions. With guests, I discuss social issues that affect me personally in a Martinican context.
